Matthias Kestel is an architect and photographer. Since 2011 he is working in the field of Design Build Projects at the chair of Design and Timber Construction at TU Munich, the projects mostly focused on Sub-Saharan Africa from South Africa to Cameroon. In 2015 he co-founded the new platform TUM.DESIGNBUILD at the faculty of architecture at the TU Munich which will mainly investigate in Design Build teaching, sustainable construction methods for developing countries and vernacular architecture.
