Short CV
Greg Johnson has been registered as an architect and engineer in British Columbia since the early 1980’s, having practised architecture with a number of local firms prior to practising independently, and since 2009, with the firm Principle Architecture. The firm focusses on institutional work primarily within the educational and non-profit sectors, including schools and community facilities, some of it within First Nation Communities.
Following several years of part-time teaching through various institutions, in 2009 Greg was appointed to a teaching position shared between the School of Architecture & Landscape Architecture, and the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of BC. His teaching interests include issues related to building science/building enclosures, environmental controls, architectural detailing and design-build projects. As often as possible he facilitates joint initiatives between the architectural and engineering disciplines.
