Aims and expectations
I strongly believe that the interdisciplinary designbuild experience provides students with the holistic qualities that are essential to the profession of today. My personal wish is to continue teaching designbuild projects at the university in berlin.Short CV
After studying " Landscape Architecture" at the University of Greenwich in London i moved to Berlin, Germany in 1995 and worked as a freelancer with a focus on landscape design, detailing and design competitions. Since 2004, i have been a teaching and research assistant at the Department of Landscape Design and Construction at the Technische Universität in Berlin. From 2020 i have been teaching Landscape architecture at the Brandenburgische Technische Universität Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) in the Architecture and Town Planning program. Im also teaching at the IU International University in the distant learning and dual studies programmes.
Since 2007, i have been co-supervising the Mexico Project at the Technische Universität Berlin. The Mexico Project is an interdisciplinary designbuild teaching model involving architects , landscape architects and civil engineers .Our designbuild projects aim to achieve a balance between innovation, good architectural practice, the technical qualities of the result, as well as making a contribution to poverty alleviation. From 2010 i have been leading designbuild projects in Mexico, Bolivia, Egypt, Brazil, and many projects in Germany.
From 2007 i have also been a member of CoCoon-Studio, a group of teachers, researchers and practitioners who specialise in contextual planning, design and construction in an intercultural and interdisciplinary context.
