Marta Ferreira (Penafiel, 2000) completed a Master’s degree in Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto in 2025, with the dissertation “The relevance of practice in architectural education: Design and Build as a comprehensive method”, under the academic supervision of Professor Luciana Rocha (FAUP) and Professor Sami Rintala (NTNU). She complemented her academic background through participation in workshops promoted by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, and the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt.
In 2023, she was part of the winning team of the competition “Natural is the New Normal”, and in 2025 she joined the FAUP team selected for the International Competition of Schools of Architecture and Urbanism at the 14th São Paulo International Architecture Biennale, with the proposal “The extreme (no longer) lives here”. She is currently collaborating with the BIOARCH studio in Guimarães.
